Fishin Hole Family Restaurant in Montesano

An updated feel to a classic family diner. We stopped here for breakfast on our way home from a camping trip. The chicken fried steak was perfect, the biscuits were nice and fluffy, and the bacon was a nice middle ground between crunchy and chewy. The kids menu had a good selection. Service was top notch, our waitress was friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Cute and clean little restaurant with fishing decor. Wait staff was really nice. Food was ok. Nothing to write home about but not bad. Not a lot of quantity. Clam chowder had carrots in it...weird.

Love the fishing decor and the server was friendly. Unfortunately, the cod and fries didn't excite. We both order the same thing. When our lunch arrived, it looked great and it was fresh and hot. But upon opening one fillet, I found it undercooked. So I tried a second, it was worse, with uncooked batter and gummy fish. The same with the Hubs fish. Our server promptly reordered the baskets. When they arrived, the fish was cooked, thoroughly. The batter was so crunchy it was difficult to chew. But after waiting for nearly an hour we were famished and ate it. Unfortunately, weren't even offered a discount and full price for this experience. One the fence for another visit.

Yeah. It was good. Had a sampler player thing and some chowdah. Fish was well fried, chowder was good, clam strips were ok. Fries were meh. Seen better. I've also had cheaper. I've gotten seafood cheaper on the coast.

Standard grays harbor quality at double the price. Food was ok at best, skimpy portions (except bread). The one waitress did a great job for having 7 busy tables to wait on by herself.

Great service was the highlight of the experience food and environment weren't bad either. We have two young children and the waitress was very welcoming and kind to them. That means a lot to us.The place has a cozy welcoming atmosphere. The food was excellent. There are quite a few selections that satisfy the home style appetite and features fish and sea food. Overall we are very happy with our experience here!Portions sizes were average.I must add that the kids menu was extensive but expensive. Most options were $6.50 a plate.

Friendly, casual atmosphere with american country cooking. The chicken fried steak was a huge platter of food. If you like the whites of eggs cooked, order over medium instead of over easy. The bratwurst special topped with onions and jalapenos and a side of fries was a filling meal.

Waitress was overwhelmed and couldn't remember the order, I have been a server I know how it is... everyone had a good time

Great social distancing measures, staff was on it especially for reduced and for extra steps. Food was a little okay but not great, gravy was bland, biscuits hard, but some might like it that way. Hollandaise was okay but didn't taste like scratch. Omlete was hearty though!

If you want a down home country meal then you have came to the right place. From the Excellent Service, (Crystal) to the Supurb dishes put out by the kitchen, Everything was Excellent. Don't forget the homemade desserts and you can afford them because the prices are very reasonable.Enjoy !

Great family restaurant with bar. They serve their menu all day. Great menu choices for those that love seafood and those of us who don't. Wait staff are kind and courteous and really make you feel at home. The fishing and outdoorsy decor is cozy and welcoming.

Would have liked a baked potato but the server said they wouldn't be ready until 4:30, it was 4:15. She could have went and checked. Had mashed potatoes that was fine. The meal was great other than that.

This is the best case scenario random stop on the side of the road type restaurant for Western Washington. The venue is nice and clean and the staff are friendly it was generally a very laid-back atmosphere. The menu featured very typical side of the road type food including cold sandwiches hot sandwiches and an array of seafood options as you would expect. The waitress is very cordial and down to earth and very welcoming. This is a family-friendly spot worth checking out when you find yourself on the road back to i-5 after visiting the coast on the weekend. There are funky fish related decorations throughout the restaurant paintings and sculptures and even a little souvenir shop for anyone that wants to rock any branded gear.

We stopped here on our way to Long Beach. We were seated handed menus and then sat there for the next 20-25 not a word no water no nothing. There were only 4 other tables besides ours. So we got up and left will not return, very unacceptable customer service!!

We chose to dine in the Gravel Bar. Server was friendly and attentive. Although when given a little feedback on one of the dishes, she did not seem too concerned or have any action. We enjoyed the Almond Chicken salad, a cheeseburger and some drinks. All were good with the exception that the chicken noodle soup had one small piece of chicken in each of our cups. Over all, pretty good and we'll likely return at some point.

Food is always good. Restaurant is always clean. Service is always friendly. On this visit they had a turkey Reuben as the lunch special. I asked them to substitute the sauerkraut with coleslaw (making a rachel sandwich ) they did, it wad delicious, and I was a happy customer
